So, now what do I do. :( Im guessing the new model is made without it, so I guess I just drill a couple of holes for the volume controls to stick out. What do you guys think?

Are you sure? The volume pod isn't really external to begin with. It's attached to one of the speakers normally, but it should just slide out of the bracket it rests in.

The Klipsch 2.1 should have the sound pod attached to the lower part of one of the speakers. It doesn't come out easily, so it may seem like it is permanently attached. You can tell because if you bend the plastic speaker casing slightly you can see the seam between the pod and the speaker. Obviously if it was permanently attached you wouldn't see the seam and it would be one plastic case. It takes a lot of strength but it should come off.

I love you guys :) Thanks alot :D I'll try to wiggle it out later!
