"so do i just go to request money and anter his email and thats it?"
Basically yes, but since you just signed up for a basic account you can only accept money from someone who has existing monies in thier account, not paying through credit card or debit card...

"willit go into my paypal account since i didnt get signed up with my bank account?"
Yes it will go into your paypal account and you can either spend it through your paypal account, or request a check which there is a fee in getting a check.

Yes, you have a paypal account.  As soon as he sends you the funds it will show as a balance in your account and you can spend it anywhere that takes paypal, ebay sellers, newegg.com....

I could be wrong on this, but I thought that paypal quit offering getting your funds as a check.  I know half.com did (which, along with paypal, is owned by ebay.)

Also, be careful if somebody tries to pay with a credit card.  You'll have to upgrade your account to accept it, and then you'll have to pay a percentage on top of every transfer.

read up at www.paypalsucks.com about all the different ways you can be screwed so you know how to protect yourself.

... and whatever you do, do not link it to your bank account that you keep most of your money in! set up a small savings account and use that for paypal. that way if you do ever get screwed you'll still be able to pay bills.  :P
