i have a full 1 year subscription card, never used, i will sell to you i got banned from xbox live like a couple days after i bought it(at the time i was using a 2month card)

It is possible to unban yourself. You just need to get a new eeprom, I think. Then make sure you lock your hard drive and boot to the retail kernel before getting on Live. I think it's also a good idea to save your Live account to a memory card rather than the hard drive. I've never used Live so this just comes from stuff I've read in the past. I might have some details wrong, but I think that's the gist of it.

yeah trust me ive lookedonevery site possible on how to get back on and yes i could get a new eeprom but theres also a huge mystery of how microsoft finds out if your box is modded, cause i had my modchip off, on the retail microsoft menu, and had my hd locked, people aresaying that microsoft is using halo 2 to catch people some how, and thats the only game i was playing.

You can unban yourself.
I've done it.
You have to get a new EEprom, and a new stock Xbox hard drive. You can get from the forums on xbox-scene.com. You also should get an Xtender mod (www.teamxtender.com) which allows you to install up to 3 hard drives in your xbox by vertically extending the case and allowing you to boot up to a specific drive using a 3 button panel on the case extender.
There's stickies (I believe) from reputable sellers on xbox-scene. They rip the eeproms from brand new systems the mod for people who know up front they can't log onto Live, so the EEPRoms are legit. You unlock the drive, use a flashing tool to flash the eeprom, re-lock the drive, and sign on.
The xtender mod allows you to choose which hard drive to boot up to. If you always boot w/ modchip off on drive 1 (your stock drive) then you can still play on live without any issues, even recovering your original name (I did this also).
I've been playing Halo2 for a while now without issue.
It's kind of a pain tho, dunno if you want to go through it, but just so you know, it's possible.

LMAO....I had never even thought of that. I'd take Soapboy's advice there. That also means that if your modded system ever goes south you'll have a whole set of replacement parts to pull from. And the Extender cases are ugly.

yeah i was thinking of buyinga whole new xbox(much easier) until i found this site and nowim broke cause im making 2 player cab from scratch.

Let me guess. The 160 drive you put it was only after you had already been on LIVE with the stock drive... Answer truthfully now. ;)

So, since I've never been on live I can lock my drive, turn off my chip and log on even though I have a 250 GB drive in my Xbox? Even if my C: drive has extra things on it, like Avalaunch?

To the best of my knowledge, yes.
Microsoft has no way of knowing what's on you HD.
Apparently they log your HD's serial number or something like that though...

No, if there are any unsigned binaries on the xbox hdd, you will get banned.
A friend only had mame on the xbox hdd, used a bootable evox CD when wanted to run it, and was banned after playing halo2 for a while.
Seperate xbox is the best bet, plus then you can do multiplayer link games thru your lan when you have friends over.

exactly, thats kind of what happened to me, I think its true that microsoftis somehow using halo 2 to ban people.

I don't want to get into an argument here, but I frequent xbox-scene's forums at least 30 minutes a day and I've not seen anyone mention Halo2 getting them banned.
You realy need to have done something like play with your chip on or have changed your HD...
Anyways, like I said I don't want to bicker about this so I'll leave it at that. Feel free to back this up in any way you can. It doesn't hurt for the people that may read this to hear both sides of the case and make up their own minds.

ok first, yes you are right i did switch my hard drive after i was signed up to live, but no i never went on live with my hd unlocked or mod chip on, and i was into the whole xbox mod scene like crazy a little while back and if you just look it up, cause ive read that all kinds of people have gotten caught playing halo 2, also some of the xbox mod sites have it as news storys.

I was banned once but I did go online with mod on(I was drunk and totally forgot).But I changed the drive,new eeprom and thats it still playing no problem 8)
