saint is too busy counting his enormous profits and sailing the seas on his world class yacht to actually know how many copies have been sold.

Sirwoogie wacked 1399 (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,37325.0.html) last month (inactive users)

I'm sure others have bought the book who never became a member

minus a small percentage of members havn't bought the book

I don't think it sold over 2000. But it deserves to sell much more.

More than 5000 -- less than 25000 :)

Now we have to harass him until he tell us how much his commission per book is!
-J/K

Acually 5,000+ is very good for a book of this type. Way to go!

We get an average of around 64000 unique visitors to the forums each month (as in, different IP addresses - how many real unique visitors that means I dunno). There are 6500 or so registered board members.

Those of us on dial up would allways have a different IP address everytime we log on right??

Right, so the actual number of real unique visitors is pretty much impossible to tell.

I wonder how many forum members actually bought the book, though.  I would wager it's a small percentage of us.

(For the record, I did, and bought it from a brick and mortar too)

I bought mine at a B&M barnes and nobles..  I think I had a 10% off coupon from fatwallet.. hehe

Hopefully they didn't take 10% off your cut too, saint.  If so let me know and I'll mail you the extra. ;)

He was being facetious.  He meant that they printed a total of two books and they were sold not different versions or anything like that.

What ever the total is, you can add 1.  I just picked up the book earlier this week. I'm about 3/4 of the way through.  My wife say's she's never seen me be so obsessed with a book like this. (I think the last book I read was about 5 years ago)

Great job!

This is my first post here, and I just gotta say I am very impressed with the book. I find myself reading bits and pieces all the time, and often need to put it down as my girlfriend feels neglected. +1 to whatever we're at.

First post, picked the book up today after reading about it on the site.

Birch plywood being picked up on the way home, and my nice office mate is going to do the cutting for me.

now if I could just get the 800ps to fire up we would have full sized templates printed today.

When I substitute, I often take the book with me.  When a kid asks me about it, I give them the site.  You never know when the next revolutionary maker will show up!

Yo,
I kept my copy in the bathroom too! I even used a piece of toilet paper as my bookmark. hehehe .

Just wanted to say that I never thought I would be thoroughly absorbed in a technical book. Learning is sooo much more fun when it is not in school.

Oh yeah, and my wife wants to say @$^%*&*(%@*$!!! to you for making me spend my money on an arcade machine. ;D

Well there is at least one wife in the whole universe who appreciates and bought your book Saint  ;D .....well in reality there is at least two wives who like your book (my conclusion after reading the acknowledgements section ;)) . Maybe we should take a poll of how many wives are out there who like saints book. I am sure there are more than two.

By the way my guess on the book sales is maybe about 20,000

I couldnt have built my cabinet without the book... sure there is lots of stuff online and this forum is such a big help but we dont have the internet in the garage yet  ;) so until then this book is a much easier option... As for the verdict on the effectiveness of the book, combined with my woodworking skills.... is that my hubby's friends are green with envy  :P  when they play our very own cabinet in our games room

I joined because I bought this book, I had been floating past the website on and off for a year or so then I spotted the book in my local book retailers. Who can resist a book with "Blip, Blip, BLAM" on the cover? :D an excellent read, however I suspect it will cost me more in the long run than just the cover price.... ;)

You built a cabinet for your husband? (and you too, of course!)  ;D

That's beautiful...I think I'm going to cry  :'(

I'm going to make my wife read this, and tell her that this hobby is an equal opportunity offender!
