Title: Pop'n Music controller
Post by: sse6uele on June 16, 2005, 09:00:54 pm
Check out this Pop'n Music controller I made for $110.
Even has a stand!

Got the little table from Home Depot for $13
Got the buttons from www.happcontrols.com for $97
used old Madcatz PS2 controller for guts

I just cut holes in the table with a jigsaw
soldered all the wires down

I am going to hook up the lights also, but I am not sure how to make them come on only when buttons are pressed.

If anyone wants any more details or knows how to wire lights, just leave a post here.

That's friggin awesome that they finally lowered their prices on those buttons.  The used to be like $25!  Now I don't have to order from wico!

BTW, nice controller.  Is the design your own?

I've got one that I'm in the process of building.  It's useable at the moment so I don't know if I'll ever finish it!  ::)

That's an awesome idea!

How did you mount the controller guts? Did you enclose them in anything? Does the table still fold up for storage?
