Last year around Christmas time, bought a new machine: Street Fighter Alpha 3
-
Maybe it was a SFA3 when you got your hands on it, but in a former life it was probably either a TMNT or a Simpsons. That's a Konami wide cabinet.
I saw a set of Simpsons sideart on ebay if you want to restore it completely. If you just wanna make it a SFA3 again, though, that's up to you.
-
Close... It was a Crime Fighters game by Konami, but i'm going to make it my multi jamma fighting game cabinet(6 button layout).
It will soon feature:
1. Street Fighter Alpha 3
2. Tekken Tag Tournament
3. ?
4. ?
let me know what games you would put in the last 2 spots.
-
Also, The Simpsons and TMNT has stero sound.
-
I'd put in a Soul Edge or Soul Calibur in there. If you want to add an original MK, I could probably round up a board for that. I'm also a big fan of the Street Fighter EX series, but alot of people don't seem to like it as much.

3. Neo Geo MVS mobo (with Last Blade 2 most of the time, were it me)
and...um...
4. Maybe Daraku Tenshi or a Dead or Alive?
-
Actually, I was outbid on a Soulcalibur kit,
and I have already secured a 4-slot Neo Geo machine from a local operator friend
I like Street Fighter EX series, it's a lot like Tekken, what about Virtua Fighters? Are they good?
-
I was never much of a Virtua Fighter fan. I'm all about KI, but those aren't cheap.
-
Any more horizontal game suggestions? It does not have to be a fighter.
-
Well if you're using a CPS2 or NeoGeo you'll be able to switch out games on the fly and not be limited to just a few.
For CPS2 I highly recommend Super Puzzle Fighter 2 Turbo and Super Gem Fighters: Mini Mix. I don't think either or cheap, though.
I'd throw at least one puzzle game in there, though.
-
You seem to already have a Tekken Tag board ready to go, but I have a Tekken 3 PCB I don't need if you are at all interested.
-
here's how it looks so far...
-
Id put in a souledge board if you could get one... But then I would need a soul calibur board too.. hmmm
-=XD=-
-
Last Night, I sanded the cabinet and applied the first coat of primer.
-
Hi, I'm new here...
I have a Marvel vs. Capcom 2 board I'm about to sell.
-
**Update**
The entire cab has been primed, and i hope it wont get flooded out because we are getting some outer bands from Emily, and my garage floods easily :(

Or you could wait to see if it floats. They you could name it "Noah's Arcade".
(my guess says it wont float, but then again, I would never guess an aircraft carrier would float :) ).
Looks good so far. What color are you going to paint it?

I put it on some cinder blocks and it didn't turn into Noa's Arkade,
and it wil be painted black with red tmoulding...

Everybody in Texas has cinder blocks. Gives us a place to put our cars!

After a fresh coat of paint:

A look under the hood:

Done!
-
I haven't even cut my control panel in the time it took you to make that whole thing! Good job. :P
(But then again, I'm very lazy.)
-
Tekken tag marquee running sfa3. Classic. Nice job man, looks nice.
(adds to wish list.) lol

I used capcom overlay on this machine, but it was about 2 inches short:
-

That's a very nice cab. You should add Street Fighter 3: Third Strike in it as well ;)
-
Actually, as good as that game is, i'd avoid capcom play system 3 stuff at all costs unless you know how to proprally swap the securety cart battery. The problem is if that battery dies, kiss sf3ts goodbye ;D If you want that game in the cab, hack a dreamcast, or a ps2, whatever.
