Are you sure you were looking at stranded wire and not solid core wire? Solid core wire will always be stiff, and you would need stranded wire for your project anyway. I have been using Radio Shack wire, and it is not stiff.

I've got 22AWG wire that's perfect for control panels. It's on my site. I take PayPal, but not funded with a credit/debit card.

or do you just not want to change over to a buisness account..
I don't want to change to a business account, as that means fees on *every* transaction, instead of just credit card ones.
I'm thinking very seriously about starting to take it, but I will have to raise prices slightly. I got some locks that I thought would fly out of here, but I've barely sold any. Wire and disconnects are stilll selling quite well, but I need to get this stuff out of here. Holding on to stock doesn't do me a bit of good.

Yeah, I ended up switching, too. Just easier that way, and I can get paid from more people, it seems.

their stranded wires are a little more flexible than the solid, but they only have stranded speaker wires, the clear speaker wires..their sizes are way biger than those arcde wires..and its not because of the plastic grap around, its those copper wires inside..theyre thick and has many wires inside..i have order the harness from Bob..most his wires are 20 gauge and 18 for powers..when i compare those 20 guage from bob's harness with the radio shack stranded speaker wires..i can tell you its a huge different between the sizes of those two

Clearly NOT speaker wire, and very flexible.

I just opened a business account at the very start because I knew I would get a bunch of CC payments.

I went into the local Radio Shack yesterday (and found, to my surprise, that it is no longer a Radio Shack,a lthough nothing much has changed) and discovered that most of the electronics bits are gone -- perhaps alundra has stumbled onto a similar situation (the local store, for example, did not have any of the normal spools of stranded wire, but had some solid ... and, of course, speaker wire).
Cheers.

If you havent found any...I work at an electrical contractor in Maryland. I have access to any gauge stranded wire and I do accept PayPal. Question is how much do you need?...I do prefer the barder system to the cash system also so that may help you.

anyone knows whats the difference between AWG and AWM wires? i got a spool of 20 gauge AWM wire and their sizes are pretty much the same as the wires in my jamma...i know most people use AWG..but what about AWM?

Alundra,
I found this website about a month ago and they sell 22 gauge wire that is stranded in several different colors and the price seemed very reasonable to me. They do accept paypal. I bought three bundles and it is good quality stuff.
Here is their website:

For something so basic it seems like it would be easier to find in many different places.
