If you're going with George Clinton, I'd go with a font similar to the old Funkadelic, Parliament, or Clinton logos like you see here:

That is an awesome idea my friend. Funny but I never thought of that. I would like to use the Parliament font for the Title and the Funkadelic font for the smaller letters. I am quite new to photoshop so how would I do that. Do i have to draw the letters?

The space background doesn't look right. Have you considered the mothership and George in a psychodelic background ie tiedie look or if you've ever seen a mandalbrot fractal, etc.. Just a thought.

Very interesting Gozur. I am going to have to play around with it. I was thinking mothership+space = far out, but maybe you are right. It is supposed to be funky. I do want a sort of 3D distance thing going. Kind of like your last picture. I don't want it to feel like George and the mothership are against a wall. Ya feel me?

i looked around and haven't been able to find those fonts
so I guess you'll have to draw it unless someone else knows where to find them
I also suggest looking at all of the old Clinton, P-Funk, Parliament, and Funkadelic album art for some inspiration.
Some of the covers were very cool and some were terrible.
Just see what appeals to you and try to bring it all together.
That's one nice thing about working in layers. It makes it easier to change things and experiment with different ideas without having to redo everything
