Title: Does it matter if i have nothing in the player 2 ground side of IPAC?
Post by: 2PacMan on June 14, 2005, 08:29:02 am
I am just using a barrier strip for all my grounds and i grounded the whole strip to the player 1 ground side on the IPAC.  Right now i have nothing in the player 2 ground side of the IPAC....is that OK?  Or should i run another wire off the ground strip to the player 2 side ground of the IPAC just to have something in it?  Does it make a difference?  Am i stressing the IPAC having all the grounds go to one side only>?

Doesn't matter, I think they're connected on the PCB anyway.  However you want to wire it should work fine.

I do not have anything in mine (last 8 months) and have no problems.

you will be fine hooking the ground to just player one. quite a few people though prefer to run the loop starting from player one though the buttons then ending at player 2. that way you have (2) paths to ground so just in case there is a problem. my reccomendation would be to run a wire over to player 2 just because its easy and that much more safety.  ;D
