The instructions on discharging a monitor (linked to from the FAQ on this forum) are located within a Power Point Presentation? Does anyone see the problem here? The information covering the most important safety aspects of monitors is located in a file format that requires proprietory software that not everyone owns. I'm never going to buy it, and assuming I was a software pirate, I wouldn't even pirate it!
Does anyone know of a link to a more readily accessible infortmation on discharging monitors?

There is a free viewer available on Microsoft.com and if your on linux OpenOffice can open any powerpoint file :)

Sorry if I sounded like a complainer. I actually imagined a reply like this as I typed it, I thought *I bet there's a viewer*.
Anyway I have linux too but I'm still trying to figure it out, so I'll get the viewer for now. Thanx Alan.
