Mame released for PSP (PlayStation Portable):

Don't get too excited yet.  It is extremely limited right now.

There is no sound. Any games with a bit-depth not equal to 8 will not work. This emulator has the drivers for: omegaf, darius, nova2001, and vanguard

Still cool to see it the PSP though.  I'm sure it will be better with time.

Give it a year of development time. It could be great. This could be a good reason to buy a PSP. Really.  ;D

Personally, I'm more excited about the fact that PalmMAME has been ported over from the Zodiac to a more generic version capable of running on multiple different Palm platforms:
