Im sure there is a shortcut to rename a load of files in explorer but I cant seem to remember what it is?
For example you may have a bunch of Digi cam files like this:
DSC001
DSC002
DSC003
DSC004
DSC005
You then press the shortcut, type in the preceding name, eg Holdiday and then they end up being renamed something like this:-
Holiday01
Holiday02
Holiday03
Holiday04
Holiday05
Can anyone help me out?
Edit:
Doh! Figured it out. Select the files and just press F2 as normal, type the name and bang.

All you need to do, as far as I know, is select a bunch of files, right-click on the first one in the list and choose 'rename'.
It'll then rename all the selected files the same, adding increments as it goes. The stupid thing about it though is that it includes spaces in the naming scheme, so it's not really helpful for web-based applications, etc.
ie:
Holiday (01).jpg
Holiday (02).jpg
Holiday (03).jpg
Unless I've got something configured wrong, it has always done it this way.

Hmmm, see, when I pressed F2 it also selected the first folder displayed, which I did not select. hence why I was confused.
Edit: tried it. It renamed as such
doc.doc
doc (1).doc
doc (2).doc
...
