Title: SVGA + Mamewah 31khz
Post by: Todesengel on June 09, 2005, 10:49:45 pm
I am on the last step of getting my mame cabinet up and working.

I am using...

Wells Gardner U3000 27'' Monitor
Windows Xp
Mame w/ Mamewah Front End, Nes, and N64
Radeon 9000 Pro
AMD 64Bit XP 2100+
Asus A7N266
512mb Cosiar
J-Pac
SF2 Arcade Cabinet w/ Jamma Harness
Powerstrip

Now, it post's fine, DOS shows up on the monitor just perfectly! Then windows boots, its 640x480 16bit color, running 30.897khz. Windows looks fine, the hsync is off a little bit I belive, the text is kinda hard to read but eligable. Then I load up mamewah and it just goes haywire. Also windows tells me I am running in 60hz still. My 64 emulator works great, forget the name as I am at work, but it is the popular one that works with mamewah. Anybody have any idea how I can get all my mame games to work with that monitor as well as mamewah?

Thanks guys I appreciate your help very much!

Is the theme your using set for the correct refresh rate?

No, I was not aware that different themes have different refresh rates. If I put it back to default, will it work?

Honestly I'm not an expert on arcade monitors but in Mamewah layout designer under the background tab there's a setting for refresh rate.  It's default is probably 60hz so you can manually change that or just download a theme made for arcade monitors.  Just a guess though, but I wouldn't continue running mamewah if it's messed up because it probably is trying to run at 60hz.
