Looks pretty cool. Are you going to paint or somehow cover the outside, or go for the wood look? What is the (metal?) panel for in front of the controls? I'm anxious to see how this thing turns out! Keep us posted.

The finish of the cabinet: I found a vendor that sells sticky back vinyl that I'm planning on using for the sides, coindoor, and access door.  I finally found a vendor that sells 3" speaker grills that are going to go ever the speaker and fan holes.  The top piece still needs to be recut out of 1" ply wood.  I'm thinking about laying down a black marble formica and overlays at that point and then put down the topglass.

The metal panel by the joystick boxes are part of the monitor case.  The original plans did not include a plug for that hole, but I'm going to be cutting some and make it look like it's supposed to be that way.  ;D  

I'm planning on putting up more pictures here pretty soon.

What am I looking for?  Options mainly. :D

I'm looking for a good source where I can buy cheap (non-working?) PCB's or ROM sets for various games.

Yeah, we're working getting to the point where we legally play these games we have on it... :)

At seeing my mishap with my joystick box, David Flagg sent me an updated version of the plans I bought from him about a year ago.  And I didn't even ask for the update.

To put it simply, "That's how you assemble the joystick box?"  The news, which have a lot of material that the old ones simply didn't fills in a lot of the gaps and solves problems I was working on.
