LAST CALL, GOING TO AUCTION OR FLEA MARKET NEXT WEEKEND!!
$300 cash FIRM, DOWN FROM $499 (YA CHEAP BASTICHES!!
-
It's probably too late to mention it now, but you probably should have just put them on Ebay... Wish I could help you out. Having one fo those things would be pretty neat. I'm just too far away.
-
Thanks Alan, distance is the main problem for most of those who have replied.
Ebay is a bigger pain in the arse than here, if they don't sell soon here I'll just pull the offer completely.
Vacation doesn't depend on selling these, just thought I'd offer BYOAC board members the deal first.
I got a buddy who has a video game store who can sell them for me when I get back, just a PITA to haul them there to sell.
And so it goes, ARCADIAC!
-
Buy these please!
ARCADIAC!

shipping to NJ would kill me, otherwise, i'd snatch them up in a minute.

Bump :D

BTW, you guys who were moving to Indiana in July, PM me if you'e still interested.

You need to hurry up and sell those things! It's really starting to frustrate me seeing them being offered for cheap and nobody taking them. :)
-
Arcadiac - Your craiglist entry has expired. You may want to repost all the useful information here. Where are you located? I seem to remember it was too far from me (OK).
-
Yeah I don't rememer where he is, either, but I remember it was too far.
-
Thanks for the heads-up guys, fixed and pixed! ;D

Arcadiac, could you scan the TKO Boxing and Excitebike instruction cards for me?? I can't seem to find them anywhere!
Thanks
-
Sorry clandeggin, tko card is installed on the machine, removing the plastic cover would damage it and excitebike card is MIA :'(

GAH!
I keep watching these thinking if I had the money, they'd be mine.. (We're building a house.. Saving up for the new mortgage, fence, finishing the basement, etc, etc..)
I have family that live right across the river from Louisville in Indiana.. (I'm in Indianapolis)...
I keep trying to talk my dad into buying 'em, though :)
GAH!

IF these go to flea market/auction will you sell me the coin door/boxes before they go?? I cannot find anyone willing to part with these.
I hope these are sold before you have to take such drastic measures.
-
Ok Arcadiac. I'm getting interested. Still looking for that Jamma Cab too. I'll PM you.

Man you are 45minutes away. ::)
( Frankfort ) ( I 64 and US 127)
No more room !

I've been watching these since you listed them, I'm in Cincinnati. However my boyfriend doesn't like cocktail style cabs, I think they're adorable and I love mario, excit bike, ect. Since they'd be stored and used at his house I kind of have to stick to stuff he likes also. Bummer.
-
Hey, I'm in Cinci also. We also have Rob in the area (across in Kentuky).
Nice to see some more mamers in the area
-
They might CALL them thing cocktails, but they have very little in common with cocktail cabinets, and a lot more in common with a pair of Japanese Candy cabs installed back to back.
Anyone ever tried chopping those things in half?
-
You probably could. but share same mother board. and power supply.
at least my stand up does
-
I agree with Paige, they probably have more in common with the candy cabs, but chop one in half? :o
These are uncommon in my area, why do they seem to be good only for parts elsewhere? Has to be a supply and demand thing. How many were produced?
The Rodney Dangerfield of cabinets perhaps! ;D
My impression is that these will only increase in value as time passes for the very reason that people seem to want to cannibalize them for parts rather than restore them, leaving less and less intact units. :'(
I like them a lot, they are much more comfortable to play than regular cocktail cabs. And definitely cooler than those conjoined twin VS machines!
The main issue I have is simply that they occupy so much space.
I'd rather sell them for cheap to someone who will use them intact than have them sit in the garage.
I'd let them sit there before I destroy them for parts.
Oh well, even Edsels have their admirers!

"The problem is that they occupy about 10 square feet of floor space, and that's not counting room to play them. Gonna to take two fairly strong men to lift it in and out of a truck, too.
I sold mine for $300 with Super Mario Bros, Excitebike, Castlevania, and Soccer. It was completely repainted and the legs polished. I also had to deliver 100 miles away. I was practically begging to get rid of it!"
pinballjim, I understand, these are already priced at a loss to me but the room needed to keep them just isn't available. I really don't want to sell, getting offers, but having second thoughts, it's like selling a beloved toy! Especially the SM/Excitebike combo, 2 great old-school games!
The value is relative I suppose.

Bump, I still have these, come and get 'em!

Despite my wife hating these things, I would snap them up if they were close enough. It's the same thing around here with a lot of folks. The price is right, but shipping would make it not worth doing.
Now, if you suddenly decided to come to the SuperAuction in August.......... ;D
-
SOLD ;D Thanks all for looking in!

Arcadiac:
As promised, I took a picture of my 3 kids playing the games, but I can't upload them to my site for some reason (lousy satellite connection)
If you send me your email, I'll send them first thing in the morning.
Thanks,
Art

Here they are in the garage. It's hot in there. Even at 9:30pm! I think the dogs were mad that the excitebike monitor wasn't working. :D

Wow, thanks Art, I see that the machines couldn't have gotten a better home!
Best wishes for years of enjoyment and thanks again! ;D

Arcadiac... your determination sold these games! congrats. what was the final price? if you dont mind me asking.
-
I wish I could sell mine. People here have mentioned interested, but nobody wants to seal a deal. Oh well. There's always Ebay and the Super Auction.
-
They sold for the $300 asking price, definitely a bargain! I took a small loss but they went to a good guy with kids who will enjoy them so I feel good about that! ;D
BTW, I got lots of "I'm interested but live too far away" very understandable, one "I'll give you $100, well you said all offers" ::), and one who commiitted but backed out, but at least they were honest and let me know in a timely fashion.
I did actually get a legit offer for the original $499 from a guy in New Zealand, he then checked out shipping and had to cancel.
This board can be a hard place to sell, so be persistent if selling here and expect some cheapskates! ;D Hey, just my honest experience, don't flame me for that last comment!
Overall I've had good transactions here, only one where I got screwed over out of several good deals, probably not a bad record on any board.
Thanks again all for looking in, and especially for those who gave me encouragement to hang in there!

I'm the buyer ;D Arcadiac is a nice guy. He gave me everything he had for those cabs, including some extra games and a carrying case. He's got a garage that looks like probably most of the rest of the members here, various cabs in different stages of repair (or disrepair) :P
My kids love the Mario and baseball. Boxing is a little hard for them, but they'll figure it out. I have to get the other monitor fixed to play excite bike.
Arcadiac and I talked about going on a cabinet "hunting" trip. Maybe I'll find what else I need. I'm still looking for a 4 player cab I can use for MAME. I'm in the southern Indiana/northern kentucky area.
