Title: CANCELLED!! : Sherriff Auction in Joplin Missouri June 17th

Just a quick announcement as seen in R.G.V.A.M:

"I just received word from Jason Fowler that the auction that had been
slated for Friday, June 17th in Joplin, Missouri has been called off.
He asked me to come on to the board and give everyone notice, as he's
in transit to Joplin from Wisconsin and won't be able to post a message
himself until this evening."

I was really hoping no one would post this here >:( this was going to be a vacation day for me ;) ;)

This must be the goods auction for the operator that freaked out several weeks ago. He was bankrupt, and decided it was a good idea to set his house and warehouse on fire. It didn't work out exactly as he planned... :o

I have a 10 hour drive to get there... and I considered it...

but man my wife would be PISSED!

I just want a few pins... and maybe the sitdown starwars cab...  and maybe a pooltable... and maybe a cocktail table or two... and maybe... crap...

where are you located at btw?  are you in the area?

I was just down by Joplin 2 weeks ago Canoeing the Elk River.  Damn I dont want to drive back down there.  But that Area 51 site 4 game look very nice, And all the 4 cart NEO GEO games.  My wife is going to be pissed when she hears about this.   :angel:

I'm all over this auction!  Anyone else in KC want to carpool with me (split gas)?  (or truck-pool, if you've got a truck).  I have enough room to transport one cabinet only.

I have also spoken to Jason. CONFIRMED!! Auction is cancelled.

Did he give a reason for the cancellation?  Are they planning to reschedule the auction.  If they do I will most definitely try to make it.  They had some good stuff.

the sherrrif auction was apparently a bunch of reposessed stuff.

The guy game and paid his dept.  They gave it all back to him.  :(  SOB.

I took the day off and everything.
