I am thinking about getting one of these DDR metal platforms for my kids off Ebay.

Not a ton of help..... buy my sister bought a pair of these for her PS1:

She's quite happy with them.

I saw one at a Fry's Electronics store and the plastic parts where on the top were cracked.

I've got the PSX version of that pad from eBay (which I'm sure is the same pad, just with a different controller box - the box is detachable from the pad itself)... While I'd hardly consider it "arcade quality", it's not bad for the price and will serve until I either get around to building my own or hit the lotto so I can afford a place big enough to add a real DDR machine to my collection.

Thanks for the replys....
