From what I got from the game consoles section of this site, I can just hook up my systems to my pc monitor using component cables (so that instead of doing the same with a tv, its now with a monitor). Will this actually work? It seems to easy ;)

Well its not quite that easy.
As the Computer Monitor doesnt have a port for Component cables to connect. As such, you need a device called a transcoder to do it. Personally though I would go the route of X2RGB. Its 200 bucks, but its the best device for the job.

Thanks for the help :)

The VD-Z3 would be able to connect all 3 consoles to a pc monitor. I was looking at purchasing it a while ago and read that the quality is very good. Not sure on the differences with the X2RGB, but it's only $60. Depends on your budget....

hmm, it seems that the VD-Z3 only supports proggressive scan games :-\, so if I'm playing a game that doesn't support it, I'll get nothing on my screen. For those that have it, is this true? Also, I would love to get the xrgb-2+, but its sort of out of my budget :( I was looking into getting this for my ps2 and gc (x2vga for my xbox): http://www.lik-sang.com/info.php?category=219&products_id=3235&
My question is though, is the d-terminal connection for my gc/ps2 150$$ better than the tv s-video quality (what the product in the link will display it seems, not the best, but better than average)?

Search VGA BOX on ebay and google..
Theres DOZENS of multi boxes that work great..

hmm, from jeremy's article (http://www.tiptonium.com/videogames/reviews/ps2/xrgb2plusps2.htm) It seems that monstor s-video cables equal (maybe even better) the same quality as a rgb/d terminal cable.
"Nonetheless, the Japanese RGB cable will give you the best image quality available. There are a few problems however. First of all, I cannot in good conscience say that it is significantly better than that available from a Monster Cable Gamelink 300 (S-Video). The improvement is marginal at best. Indeed, comparing the output from a GameCube with a cheapo S-Video cable and a PlayStation 2 with a Japanese RGB cable, both consoles running XGIII: Extreme G Racing, I could see no difference between the two. Looking very closely at on-screen text, there was a marginal, and I mean marginal improvement of the RGB over the S-Video."
If true, I might be better off going with the 50$ s-video vga adaptor and using monster cables (note: I'm not looking for the best video output, but an above average solution, once the next gen systems hit the market, I can just get a progressive scan vga adaptor (VD-Z3) and not have to worry about 480i games not being displayed (problem with the ps2))).
