Title: Website with dimensions?
Post by: REBIRTH on December 08, 2002, 08:56:36 am
I apoligize if this has been answered before - I did a search but didn't see anything that answered this.  Is there a website out there that has the dimensions of real arcade games (1980's games).  I've searched the Net and can't find one.  About a year ago I found a site that had about 20 games listed with dimensions, but that link no longer works.

Any help is very much appreciated.

Doug

Try looking that site up on google, and click the "Cache" link.  There might still be a copy of the site on google.  Otherwise, keep looking, and when you find a useful page, save it on your hard drive!

Also, try this link: http://www.arcadedimensions.8k.com/ (http://www.arcadedimensions.8k.com/)

Check the main page of the site. There's a new project called MMP Starcab. Dig around in there. You'll find 6. Also see Jelloslugs Site (http://jelloslug.mamehost.com). There are others too.

And of course.... My Site (http://www.planetjay.com/modules.php?name=Content&pa=showpage&pid=13).

Thanks for all the input.  I was looking for more detail - like height of the control panel, etc. but these were decent.  I spent the day in a local arcade with a tape measure.  I have to tell you, I never realized that almost all games have the control panel at an angle.  In my head I thought they were all parallel to the floor, but they all seem to be about 10-15 degrees off parallel.  I guess I better revamp my plans a bit!!!   ;D
