I know this has been covered but this is a very basic question and I couldnt find a straight answer. I am picking up the Betson 27" Multisync Monitor and I have some questions about handling it properly. What precautions do I need to take when handling the monitor? I am not talking about working on it or opening it in any way. Just moving it from place to place. I cannot put it in my cab yet, but would like to test it out before hand. If I plug it in and test it out, is there a danger of it being in the open? Also, I will have to discharge it if I want to move it right?
Sorry if the questions are basic, I haven't dealt with open monitors yet.... Thanks.

Ok, I refined my search a bit and after a bit, found some good answers. Basic jist of it is if your not working on the monitor dont worry about discharging, just don't touch the anode wire or the capacitors on the circuit board. Sorry for the waste of post. :-X

Don't whack the neck either.

If you touch the wrong part it'll make you sterile, AND impotent.

Out of curiosity, what kind of charge do those capacitors hold?

And dead...
Well yeah, but that pales in comparison to living a life with a malfunctioning todger.
