Title: Thrustmaster steering wheel just not cutting it...
Post by: Dougmeister on June 02, 2005, 01:49:16 pm
Bought it used (eBay) mostly for Spy Hunter.  It is the Nascar model.  Control is too loose (steer left, nothing happens, then all of a sudden you go too far off the road and crash, etc.)

Even tried adjusting the sensitivity within Mame, but to no avail.

Any other ideas or do I need to buy a better wheel?

Before you do that try the freeware utility CTFJ by Bob Church at www.stickworks.com. CTFJ allows you to adjust the sensitivity curve for each axis. A few tweaks to your X axis and you may find you don't need a new wheel after all.
