Title: Coin Mech
Post by: Antix on June 01, 2005, 05:55:45 pm
My Arcade cab is just your standard old arcade cabinet. (two player stand up, jamma)

The Coin mechanism is the one with the wire that the coin hits and this generates a credit.

I had a problem with this where the wire got moved and wouldnt act as it should, a mate of mine came over saying that he could fix it, and before I had a chance to tell him to stop, he had dismantled it.

He has no idea how to put it back together, and now I am left with this little device that is in about 30 peices. As it was pulled apart by someone else, I was unable to see how it goes back together.

My question is, does anyone know where I can get a schematic for this? Or something that will assist me in working out where the hell everything goes? I have been looking for months to buy one second hand over here, but they dont show up in NZ very often.

Cheers
Antix

This is jsut a coin switch, basically its a microswitch that has a lever/wire attach to it. This suckers are cheap. Just replace your if we are talking about the same thing.

Here are some clues of whats involved:
Parts:
1. DOOR

I have been doing more reading around the site, and, it is the microswitch thingame that I am after :)

The rest of the coin door is fine, just this microswitch is in many peices :D So #3 is what I am after :)

I might have exagerated on the amount of peices, but, there are quite a few... (over 10 anyway) I will check it out properly when I get home tonight.

Maybe I should just go to the local arcades and see if they have any of them lying around. I never see them advertised here in NZ. I have seen some coin doors, but they dont seem to have the mech/switch on them anymore :( (dammit)

Thanks for your help mate! (and thanks for clarifing what I was trying to say :D)
