Title: About how much is it to have a cap kit installed?
Post by: Prizmdrop on June 01, 2005, 12:21:33 am
I'm just looking for an estimate. I think that this monitor just needs a cap kit http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,36744.0.html
About how much do you think a tech guy would charge? Exactly what kind of business would I look for in the phone book to find a tech guy? And also, is there a site that shows how to put in a cap kit? Thanks for all the info guys!

Rates vary, but the general price range is $25 to $50 to install a capkit. If you have the capkit for your particular make & model already (and the service manual) you should be able to take the monitor to just about any tv repair shop and they could install it.

Look at the location of some of us here on the forums. You never know how close we could be and could install a kit for you.
