Sorry if this has been asked before but I can't seem to track it down.
Most games fill the screen perfect and some games blow the game up so you can't see everything. example - asteroids and simpson bowling. I haven't tried them all but these are just a couple that I can't seem to find out how to fix.
I have the AIW9000 to S-Video hooked up. I set dos mame to 640X480 res but that didn't help, it was set to auto before. Mamewah fills the screen just fine. I am confused why a couple games get magnified. what resolution or setting should I put in mame.ini to fix this?
Thanks for your help.

I set the res to 320x240 and this seems to work with Hdwrstretch on. There are a few games that are a little smaller. There has to be a happy medium to tv screen res.
Any thoughts? I know in Mame32 you can setup each game individually but I am not sure about dos mame.

In Mame32, I changed the Aspect Ratio to (23:21). That seems to stretch the screen to a full screen.

If you're going by resolution, standard TV's are 720x480. If going by aspect ratio, standard TV's are 4:3 (1.33:1).
In Mame32, I changed the Aspect Ratio to (23:21). That seems to stretch the screen to a full screen.
Wouldn't it be better to set the aspect ratio to 4:3 and then adjust the zoom level?
