Hey all. I have a Q*Bert that I've been working on, but it seems the flyback on the monitor is out. I tried it hooked up to another game and I get a hssing noise from the monitor and cannot hear HV going to the tube. When I first turn it on, the screen flickers for a second but looks like it it instantly loses whatever HV was there. I thought I'd get some second opinions on the health of the flyback.
PS
I've read that they haven't made new 4900 flybacks in quite a while. Anyone happen to have one they could sell?

Unless you're absolutely sure the flyback is toast, I wouldn't just go blindly replacing it(if you can find one). If it looks like you have power to the tube for a fraction of a second, you could have an over-voltage problem that is triggering the x-ray protection circuit and shutting the HV down. You need to check your B+ voltage first and make sure that it is within spec.
