Title: Mamewah shows MAME file as title instead of full game title! HELP!
Post by: marknetwork on May 30, 2005, 05:05:27 pm
Hello,

Mamewah was working fine and listing the MAME games perfectly until I recently changed the ini and regenerated the list in mamewah.  For some reason it is only showing the filename (without extention) instead of the full title which it used to show.  How can I set it up so it shows the full title?

EXAMPLE: It used to say "Bubble Bobble" and now it says "bublbobl".

PLEASE HELP!!! Oh and also my wallpaper and screensaver keep resetting to 'none' for some reason.

THANK YOU SO MUCH ANY HELP IS GREATLY APPRECIATED!

Generation type is listxml vs. rom folder instead of just rom folder.

Try Mamewah config if you want the graphical interface, it should also help with the reset issue too.

Hello, I tried using mamewah config but when I select "mame.exe -listxml" and then click Load, it says perameter is missing or something like that.

The wallpaper is the actual wallpaper for my win98 desktop, it resets to black and I have to right click properties then select the background again.

ALSO: There are about 3400 games and out of that I'd say half work but they're all listed.  Strange.

Ah I see, there's a problem making the mame.dat file.  I've tried typing all the mame.exe -listxml words and nothing happens.  Any ideas?

(please delete this thread as the problem is I can't create a mame.dat file, then it should work)
