Title: hooking scan converter to arcade monitor.>HOW ?
Post by: SNAAAKE on December 06, 2002, 02:42:22 pm
got this scan converter..i got 5 wires comin out of arcade monitors right?

RED,BLUE,GREE,SYNC,GROUND

Now i got this scan converter that has 4 outputs..R G B and sync.

how do i use the ground wire from the arcade monitor..?
Also,I cut a BNC cable and i see 2 wires inside of it.One is not insulated and the other is..NOW,the non insulated wire is the ground right?

Now I am guessing I gotta slice all those NON insulated wires from each BNC cables(RED,BLUE,GREEN) then spice all the wires to arcade monitors ground wire right?
and the insulated wires are regular common which i should be splicing with the R G B cable coming out of the arcade right?

I am just not very bright on this monitor problems..so HEEEEEEEEELP !...its better to be safe then sorry right people?

thanks for any help.. :)

(the Super Emotia right?)
The shield of the BNC connectors is the ground. If you are using coax, the braid around the conductor can be used.  When I was first testing mine, I strapped the ground wire to the metal ring of the sync connector.
