Title: WTT: my 27" SVGA monitor for your 25" + monitor with mounting brackets (N. TX)
Post by: AlanS17 on May 27, 2005, 04:12:50 pm
Ok here's the deal... I want to build a machine with a large screen. I have a 27" SVGA monitor in a TV casing.

I already have the cabinet I want to use. It's a TMNT cabinet. The problem is that the monitor doesn't fit right in. It has built-in speakers on the sides to it's too wide.

My original plan was to remove it from it's casing and mount it inside the machine. No problem, right? Well...

I need more than to just be able to drop it in and never worry about it again. That would be easy. I need something that is easily removable so I can take it up and down stairs and wherever I may move to. We're talking about a 27" tube without a frame.

I see myself having a difficult time building a sturdy frame for this thing that would allow me to remove the monitor whenever I feel like it. So I'm willing to trade for a good monitor with a frame. that would be easier to mount and remove.

I'm not shipping, though. I live in north TX. This monitor is probably worth more than a 25" CGA monitor so a straight trade is not likely.

I'd trade for a 25" monitor inside a cab in good condition or for a 25" monitor and make up the difference in cash.

Otherwise... anybody know where I can find a frame??

By the way, I really like this monitor, and would much rather have a frame and mounts to fit it.
