If any of you have ever been to Manitou Springs, CO (near Colorado Springs), I'm sure you have visited the Arcade Amusements penny arcade right in the middle of downtown Manitou.
-
Yeah...that is sad. I've never seen that one down in Manitou, but I'll have to check it out before it goes (let's hope it doesn't)...
One of my favorite arcades (not too far away) has always been the Boulder Boardwalk on the Hill at CU. They seemed to have a great mix of old and new, and an atmosphere that just made it fun to go there...
They are a dying breed, for sure...

ok...lets gets some collection going on here. Lets see if we can gather up 2.2 million and WE (BYOAC) will buy it. ;D

Keep in touch with the guy, and you may score some games when selling time comes.

I'm out. It would be a terrible investment.

arcade are near death.....even as a museum of sorts, it would be a loss.
-
That would be cool but man those arcades must have seen better day tho
-
Man I've spent some time there - I was in Manitou Springs about a year ago in fact, but didn't make it to the arcade that time. :(

I was in Manitou Springs just last month. It was mid-week and the weather was bad for this time of the year, so the arcade was all closed up. I walked all around the outside of it, peering in and admiring all the great classics they have. Needless to say, my wife was ready to move on to something "more interesting than a closed up arcade" long before I was. :(

Anyone have $2.2 million lying around?
Will you take a third party, out-of-state, bad check?
