I was within five minutes to purchasing two Happ 360's, trackball, spinner, and a 4-way joy when I saw the freakish 16 page post on the Happ 49-way and GGG board. At that point I was sent to the post for the rotary adapter....and then Druin's rotary board...... :-\ After reading all 16+ pages of posts my head literally EXPLODED and I am having a hard time typing around all the chunks!!!
Basically, can anybody tell me what I would be missing if I stick with my original purchase, beside rotory games or Sinstar, or should I look into a labotomy........

The 49-way with fl0yd's rotary adapter allows you to play some fun games. You would not have to buy a keyboard encoder as the GP-Wiz 49s would take its place. You would also add the ability to play Q-bert very well with the 49-way using digital restriction.
IF those things are important to you, then I would consider the 49-way approach (and you can eliminate your dedicated 4-way joystick).
IF those things ARE NOT important to you, then what you had already planned on IS A VERY GOOD APPROACH.
You won't go wrong either way, but the 49-way option gives you more opportunities to play more games while keeping a tidy panel.
