Title: MAME32 0.96 not working?

I just installed it and games won't run. I had MAME32 0.77 previously, and it worked.

No, but some ROMs are fairly recent, while others are old. I tried "audit" and there are NO errors. I double-click a game, as usual, the screen where it unzips/audits the ROM appears, then when it's done, usually the game would start. But now instead nothing at all happens. It's like it just quits.

Post by: RayB on May 25, 2005, 09:45:51 am: OK I figured it out. I didn't touch anything in the options, so I guess it had not written itself an INI file (or it was trying to use the old v.77 file). I change ONE thing in the options and bingo, back to working status.

Then I went into the options, and there's one option checkbox called "developer error log". I checked that on.

By doing that it re-created some file I guess. Cuz after I saw the games worked again, I went back and unchecked that box and the games are still working.
