Hello my friends,
-
Yeah, buy a video amp from ultimarc.
Your problem probally is that the video card only outputs .7v on the sync and the monitor expects 5v.
Or you might need to bulid a circuit to combine your sync.
So you need a video amp.
(Or at least a sync amp and combiner)
You can use the video amp only.
http://www.ultimarc.com/vidamp.html
or a jpac that has the amp built in (It also has sync protection to keep non 15k signals from reaching your monitor)

Some monitors can handle the lower voltages of the avga card, some require a amp.
And no, you wont damage your monitor with the avga only.

I thought you were supposed to use the Hantarex monitors with just the ArcadeVGA's 1v
also, aren't you supposed to just combine H sync and V sync for composite sync on the ArcadeVGA without building a circuit?
-
Yes I supposed this I connect Vsync and Hsync without any circuit. :((uff my english ... more teoric classes.. excuse me) ;D
I only have:
1- R
2- G
3- B
4- Gronund
5- Vsync (no cable
-
Yes just connect the horzontial and vertical syncs together.

Run the combined H+V sync wire to both pins 5 and 6 on the monitor.
E.g.
13 + 14 on the VGA card, combine into one wire (as you already have)
then
connect the one wire to both pins 5 and 6 on the monitor.
If this doesn't work, then separate them and run one wire from pin 13 to pin 5 (mon) and 14 to pin 6 (mon) or vise-versa.
Also, you might want to connect the other ground connectors on the video card to pin 4 on the monitor. There might be a difference in ground between RGB signal ground and Sync ground. Connect them all together (pin 6,7,8, plus pin 5, 10 (also grounds) AND the shield ground from the connector itself (wire braides inside cable) into pin 4 of the monitor. Do this only if the fix above doesn't help.
