Title: Simply Touch - cheap
Post by: Lilwolf on May 23, 2005, 03:17:07 pm
For those who are looking for an easy / cool input for a jukebox... but yet haven't found a good deal on a touch screen..

From the posts in the past... I believe the button sizes can't change... But you don't have to mount it to the screen itself... (so you can just put it above the board and it print out a label for it.)

There's a ton of 'em on ebay for $25 right now too. I got one the other day for under $10 with shipping, but haven't done anything with it yet.

Has anyone put one of these into action on a jukebox yet?

They don't seem to have an sdk to allow you to do a whole lot with them, and they don't stick presses into the actual keyboard buffer, so stuff that trys to read from the actual buffer won't work with it.  win/doscab ignores it.

I remember someone had a bunch of these to use at work, and reported that the results testing with the jukebox weren't that encouraging?
