I, Like Alan, have just purchased a deluxe space invaders upright. Mine works, but it has a "scrolling wave" in the monitor while playing the game. Does anyone know where I can get a new controller board for the monitor, or even a new monitor? I think I have the Wells Gardener monitor. We can't find anything to tell me which monitor I have other than it has a Sylvania tube.
Can anyone help this firefighter out?
Thanks, Joe

Basically - when you are playing the game - or even when it is on, there is "wave" that runs across the screen near the top. Like the waves in the ocean. I have heard it might be the "hum bar", while others have said it is "dirty electricity" and it might need a cap kit.
Here is a photo of the monitor control board:
Does anyone recongnize this baord?

Do you have a cocktail cabinet? Are you sure it's got the original monitor? That thing doesn't look like either of the B/W monitors I've got for my SID?

No its an upright. I do know they had two different monitors they put in them, the WG and a Motorolla (i think it was anyway). As far as the monitor being original, not sure.

Which do you have?

The guy that is helping me thought it was the WG. We have not been able to find any marks to identify the monitor, other than on the tube. It just says it is a "GE Sylvania 19VARP4"
