Title: Newbie - First Attempt CPO
Post by: ZX6Warrior on May 21, 2005, 10:31:26 am
First thanks to all for the great work I've seen here and the sharing atmosphere.  I am johnny come lately to all things MAME.  I bought a bunch of stuff off a guy and ended up putting the whole thing together already.  Me and my family have had a blast.  I decided it was time to try and design a CPO using illustrator.  Any feedback would be appreciated.  Keep in mind the panel layout was inherited from the previous owner (still not sure why it was designed this way) but the wood is beautiful oak and I haven't the heart to cut it up and change the layout around.  I would rather do the entire thing from scratch next time but for now this is what I've come up with.

Thanks, K

Yeah, like you said, I don't care for the control layout, but the artwork looks great.  I like it!  :)

Pretty slick! What are the dimensions of the panel?

The controls can be altered on your next panel, but as for the art, it looks fantastic!

That looks pretty slick. The fancy joystick surrounds look great. I'd have gone for those with all of them myself although the gradient type one looks ok too.
