First, my config :
- Intel Celeron 633
- QDI Advance 10B (Via) motherboard
- 256mb RAM
- ATI Rage 128 GL 32 MB
- Creative Wave Blaster 16 ISA soundcard
- MS-DOS 7.0
- AdvanceMAME DOS 0.76
- VGA to SCART cable
- European PAL RVB TV
I have a problem with AdvanceMAME DOS: when I put the UDMA driver for DOS (with devicehigh=udma.sys in my config.sys), AdvanceMAME crash when I quit a game with the ESC button.
But without the soundcard or with device_sound none in advmame.rc, it doesn't crash.
I've tried with different AdvanceMAME, udma.sys and Creative driver versions, but it's always the same. I use emm386.sys, himen.sys and smartdrv in my DOS config but I''ve tried too with nothing in my config.sys except udma.sys.
Do you know why it can't run with UDMA and the sound ? ???
Thx ;-)

Any idea ? I am desperate... ???

Have you tried it without UDMA? I know that UDMA can sometimes speed up loading times, but it's not essential and sometimes there's no noticable difference.
Edit: Have you tried any different versions of udma.sys?
Here's a bunch of different versions:

I am using that udma70 from the link above with pure DOS with Advmame 96. No problem. But my soundcard is the Sb16PCI card.
