Title: Dream Arcades Opens New Parts Store
Post by: DreamArcades on May 17, 2005, 07:04:22 pm
We've just opened a new parts store. It features a complete line of arcade parts, lower shipping on multiple items and good prices all around.

http://www.dreamarcades.com/parts

It's a huge re-design, so I'm still working a few bugs out. However, the pages are up and ready to accept orders. If you see any errors please let us know. If you find a pricing error we will try to honor the price anyway, as long as we aren't taking a bath on it.

There are some grand opening sales that are in limited supply, so I thought I would give the BYOAC members first dibb's.

Here's a few of the special deals:

3-inch PS/2 trackball with 3 free buttons $59.99
JAMMA wiring harness $8.99
Pushbuttons w/microswitches as low as $0.65

Any chance of a new stock of the black ball-tops in the near future? I think they're spelled wrong on the page or it mightve been my eyes but I figure youd want to be alerted to stuff like that

You are right there's an "l" missing. I'll fix it right away- thanks.

I should have the black ball-top sticks in about 3 weeks. They are shipping via slow (very slow) boat.
They are just like the pink and green sticks, they even shave interchangeable tops.

Mike,

Do you think you'll be selling the ball tops separately at any point since they are swapable between the sticks? I haven't commited to PINK and GREEN or 2 GREEN, etc.. They are cheap enough to buy 3 or more, but figured it didn't hurt to ask.

Yes, in the future we will. I'm not sure how much they will run though. I'm guessing a couple of $$'s or so.
I am trying to order them separately, if not then we occasionally get damaged sticks and we'll use the tops off of those.

Hey, Dreamarcades. I was wondering if you all plan on getting any other colors in the convex style buttons? Particularly Green, Pink or Orange. Lemme know!  :)

Probably not for a while. The Blue convex have not been big sellers.  It seems like the convex buttons with external switches are the most popular and I cannot get them any more.

The Jamma harness in your photo IS NOT fully populated, can you please list details as to what IS populated and what is not?

I just created a chart:

I don't do a lot of JAMMA work, but I've always have had all the connections I need. The only thing I think you might miss is coin 2. Normally I just wire both coin slots to coin 1.

Are the buttons from Happ, or elsewhere?

Some are Happs, so are not. Right now I think the Blue, white and player buttons are happs. HOWEVER, the non-happs buttons are almost identical to the happs, they appear to be the same mold, same nylon material. The only real difference is that they have a different brand microswitch.

Any chance of just selling the hardware for the trackball mounting plates?  I seem to have misplaced mine in my fury of building and don't want to try and guess the length of the screws or the size  ;D

I can't breakup a set to take out the hardware, but I have tons of nuts and bolts. Let me dig through my stuff and see if I can come up with replacement hardware.

Your order page will not let me select plyr1 or plyr 2 start buttons. Every time I try to select either one of those my cart shows that I have ordered yellow buttons.

Actually, missing -5 is a much bigger deal than missing coin 2. I was going to order some, but I can't use a harness that is missing power wires.

Odd that it has the 4th Neo Geo button populated, but not the Neo Geo game select switches?

I may be wrong here, but I'm fairly sure you can just grad another -5v wire, most of them are populated.
Can anyone confirm?
