Title: What a company to work for!
Post by: DrewKaree on May 16, 2005, 10:10:15 pm
Thought this was kinda funny....sad, but funny :)

Can you imagine working for a company that has a little more than 500 employees and has the following statistics:

* 29 have been accused of spousal abuse

* 7 have been arrested for fraud

* 19 have been accused of writing bad checks

* 117 have directly or indirectly bankrupted at least 2 businesses

* 3 have done time for assault

* 71 cannot get a credit card due to bad credit

* 14 have been arrested on drug-related charges

* 8 have been arrested for shoplifting

* 21 are currently defendants in lawsuits

* 84 have been arrested for drunk driving in the last year

Can you guess which organization this is?

Give up yet?

It's the 535 members of the United States Congress. The same group that crank out hundreds of new laws each year designed to keep the rest of us in line.

I don't remember if it was posted or not.

It still bears repeating.  I think there's a good chance a few things have gone on like that, Nasty

And these are the people given the honour of creating a better society & culture for your children??

We are no different here, corruption and power always seem to go hand in hand.  :(

Meh....those numbers are just pulled out of a hat.  Most of them are nearly meaningless even if they are true.  But they're not true so....

This is bogus.

What about the "Official business" thing where they supposedly can speed to work and not get ticketed?

I'm sure if you looked, you could find a large portion of that list and a member it would apply to, which is the general point.

NOBODY remembers the rubber check writers?  IIRC, there was someone from IL bounced like his bad checks!
