Uhmm..

AFAIK, ArcadeFX is a DOS application.

Windows XP is NOT built on DOS or the Win9x Kernel anymore, it's built on the winNT kernel.

In other words.. No Dos, No ArcadeFX...

Try one of the windows frontends with XP, or reinstall Win98 SE ;D

I think they were thinking of ArcadeOS, which is a DOS frontend.

I can vouch for ArcadeFX on my laptop running Win2000 Pro.

It runs well on 2000, xp and 98. It's a good front end and works well. A fast processor makes it run much better. On my 1.1ghz celeron it is extremely smooth on my arcade box which is a p3 550 it runs but is a little slow when going through the games. Also understand this is with a full rom set it would probably be faster with just a few roms. In my opinion it's the best one out there it only has a few problems. One you can't shut down without a mouse or at least I haven't figured out how to, but this isn't a huge problem. Second I wish it could display cabinet pics too. Instead of displaying the screen shots twice it would be nice to display the cabinet pic. Third is like I said you need a quick processor to run it.  Otherwise it is awesome and it is nice how it sorts your roms for you.

Mike, you can shut down AFX in one press of a button. Just press the power button on your 'puter. Works every time for me.  ;D
