i just picked up an nfl blitz 99 board, without a hardrive. can any hardrive be used when placing the chd files?
is there a website that has more info on doing this?
thanks.

There is a command in the chdman (whatever) application for checking / creating the chd files. You take a harddrive and it will put it on the drive.
Search / Ask over at the main mame forums. Also might want to search at mameworld.net's forums.
But you can... and I believe its pretty easy. Not sure if you need specific drives or any IDE that the image can fit will work.

I have an extra Blitz 99 drive it you need one.

I remember Peale or someone was able to use the Mame CHD's to re-create the drive. Search on this board and you'll find something about rebuilding the drive.
