I am on a quest to find the sexiest driving cab out there...
The quest calls for cab design and shape, art work and well... overall bling..

I have started one... the design is pretty nice. Unfortunately, cost has been a limiting factor to its completion. Hope to have it completed by mid summer. Why you looking for one?

Are you looking for a driving cockpit or a cab/seat design similar to most Cruisin machines? Or a stand up maybe?
I think cockpit cabs are the coolest. I know someone (Jakobud? Mameroom?) had plans for a cockpit that would be a great starting point. You could change the shape if you wanted, and of course paint it however you wanted.
EDIT: found the link http://www.mameroom.com/uacockpitplans_info.asp
I don't think it's the best design really, but it could start you in the right direction. I'd prefer a closed design so you could totally immerse yourself in the game, but that's just me.
I seem to remember someone made a closed cockpit with a military jet theme, or something similar. Take a look in project announcements or the examples page. It was very very nice.

Given the theme around here, I'll give you a guess :)
I have an area at our house which we have dedicated to our pinball machines, arcade and MAME cabs... We "were" looking at putting a bar into this same area, but tonight we had about 15 or 16 people over for a low key party - they loved what we have but two or three people said "you should get a driving game"...
Now, here I sit a couple of hours after they have left (it's 2:30 am here in Oz and the other half is crashed out) and I am thinking a dedicated cab but running a PS2 or similar would be cool in that same bar area and it would be something else for them all to play..
We entertain a LOT and think this sort of cab could "work" better than a bar - after all, the kitchen is just 30 feet away :)

with the size of driving games, cockpit or sit-down, you could probably put a few game systems in there if you wanted to and run a system selector. That way you could play PS2 and Xbox, for instance, or whichever you prefer.
I want to make one myself, but I need a place of my own lol.

mine runs mame and ps2 with X-arcade controls to swith back and forth. It was designed with closed doors too.
i hope i hit the lotto or something to get the funds to complete it
