Title: mamewah and scrolling
Post by: MustardTent on May 11, 2005, 09:31:28 am
My cab has uses 3 inputs to support all the buttons & whatnot (keyboard, usb gamepad, happs ugci), and I've noticed that sometimes when I quit a game, mamewah (v 1.52 and up) will start scrolling though the gamelist on it's own.

Almost sounds like a stuck keyboard key.  To confirm this, there are a bunch of keystroke detector software programs listed on this site.

I've had this happen a few times but put it down to crossing on my minipac. I don't have much room to mount it and it occasionally coming loose.

Brad,
That's interesting. I have the same issues with my minipac. I use a couple of different IPC files and program on the fly with MameWAH depending on what platform the game I launch belong to. As you know, when I then return to MameWAH for the game I have MameWAH set to load my Mamewah.ipc file. After that I sometimes get some funn behavior. It is usually something to do with the Player 1 Start button which is coincidently my minipac shift key. For instance if I then try to select a game and press the P1 start button it will jump down 1 or 2 games in the list (arrow down once or twice) and launch the wrong game. It also happens frequently when I go to exit MameWAH back to the desktop. I press 2 to bring up the menu. The press 1 to exit MameWAH but it will arrow down twice and reboot. Has anyone else seen this behavior?

Thanks,
John
