Title: Anyone see the new Mini commercial?
Post by: DrewKaree on May 11, 2005, 12:16:42 am
The car is driving up the ramp of a parking garage and there's lines all over it......you hear the "clack clack clack clack clack" of a roller coaster slowly tooling up to the top of a hill......they drive across the middle, and you see the ramp down.....hands come out of the sunroof

I dunno if this is brand new, or just new to me, but I really like it, it's super-cool to me!

Hey Stingray, can I borrow your Mini? ;D

I still have a hard time thinking of that bloated BMW as a Mini. They're quite a lot bigger than the real thing. I agree though, most of the ads are pretty cool.

And no, you can't. ;)

See what happens when you don't use manners Drew. I bet he would have said yes if you had added a please to your question.

His chances would have been at least 0.000000001% better.

I agree about the new mini being pretty unfaithful, but that picture is unfair.  The angle it's taken from exaggerates the size of the BMW and trivializes the size of the original.  If it were taken from the opposite vantage point it would make them appear quite a bit closer in size.

Okay, here's another angle:

A funnier picture would be the Hummer running over the Mini

I suppose that you'd find a picture of me having a stroke when that happens to be funny too. :P

I think it would be funny if Stingray was a 6'-8" 350# guy... That drives around in a mini.

Everything's so funny until someone gets hurt then, it's hilarious!

Shape, I bet I could ask please in several different languages, bring him a fruit basket (also known as a jock strap for gay men), strap missioncontrol down for him, and grease his palm with a finski and he STILL wouldn't consider letting me borrow his car!  >:(

Some people...ya just gotta swap their loofah with some steel wool :P

With you throwing around double-winky smileys like there's a fire sale on 'em, I think I know what jungle gym you're swingin' on!   :police:

the new mini at least bears SOME relation to the old, unlike the new beetle. i mean, it doesnt even have an aircooled engine! and its front wheel drive!

I pulled up to Starbucks the other day and saw some highbrow with his hood open, and I'm thinking to myself "ain't no way the dude knows where his friggen windshield washer reservoir is"....then I realized he was driving a Porsche.  So I decided to not like him for a whole new set of reasons ;)
