I only have a vague memory of the game. It was one of my friends favorites growing up and playing at the local arcade... I only can describe some minor details I can recall. Darn thing was broke about half the time whenever we would show up, must have been some seriously flaky hardware...
I believe it was a laserdisk or it at least had some motion video implemented.
I think it had a joystick and trigger, to control a crosshair and where you would shoot.
Cartoonish style. I think was early 80's anime... looked similar to Robotech character designs.
There was a scene with an old man giving this kid on the run a pistol, the most memorable thing about this was the line... "With this, you could shoot the lips off a cockroach" (or something similar)
If anyone knows what this game was or any details please share... I'd like to try and look it up, maybe find a few images. Thanks!

Badlands?
If it's a laserdisc game, go to www.dragonslairproject.com
They have info and pics for all of the laserdisk games.

JoyMonkey,
Great guess, but this wasn't based off Lupin III. However, I think it looks like a similar technology and cabinet to the one you mentioned. I recall the cab was not very big considering everything involved. Joystick also looked more like a fighter plane style... Thanks!
Shawnzilla,
Badlands wasn't it, but I'll check out that link and see what they have... thanks!

I searched the KLOV.net for "laserdisc" and got a list of possibilities. Here are my guesses:
Albegas http://www.klov.net/game_detail.php?letter=&game_id=6842
Bega's Battle http://www.klov.net/game_detail.php?letter=&game_id=7089

The game was Freedom Fighter
The link was helpful, I found it... the info is great! It figures because the biggest local arcade was Malibu for my area. Thanks for the help guys!
