Title: Wiring Rotary Joystick to Optipac.
Post by: Fat_Trucker on May 09, 2005, 02:44:05 pm
Hi Guys,

I'm going to purchase a rotary stick from Happs and wondered if there are any problems/issues with wiring it to an Opti-Pac?.

Looking at the pics on the Happs site it looks like it has a proprietary connector for the rotary interface and I wasn't sure if this needed to be hacked to connect to the O-Pac or how easy this is to do?.

Thanks.

I have the Happ's Rotary Optical sticks, and they are easy to connect to an opti-pac. 4 wires.

work fine.

If you get the 12 position rotary, that's another story.

Yes, you can only use the optical with the O-PAC. For mechanicals you need Druin's interface board that can be found in the buy/sell/trade forum.
