Title: Wanted: Ideas for My New Control Panels
Post by: mark shaker on May 08, 2005, 03:34:11 pm

I'm buying a empty Spincade, and I'm looking for fun ideas for the controls.

This will be my forth cabinet. I've already got 8-way sticks, spinners, trackballs, a star wars yoke and wheel/pedals. (See: www.marksarcade.com)

Here's what I'm thinking for the Spincade:
Panel 1: 2 trigger grip 8-ways + 1 push to fire spinner.
Panel 2: 2 trigger grip analogs + 1 Throttle lever.
Panel 3: 2 LS30s + 1 4-way.

Does anybody have any better ideas?

P.S. Are Happ's illuminated buttons any good for arcade games? (See: http://www.happcontrols.com/pushbuttons/5400042x.htm)

i'd toss dual 49-ways in there.

also, your control panel ideas need games to back them up.  the real push behind any certain control panel would be the games your looking to play.

Which games use dual analog flightsticks?

I'm not sure if any of them are currently working in MAME, but there are:

Cybersled
Star Wars Anthology
T-Mek

Thanks, I didn't know.

Congratulations on your SPINCADE.  I'm sure I speak for many others here when I tell you I'm looking forward to seeing your cab when it's finished.  If I had the scratch, I would get one too!

The panel with the 2 LS-30s and the 4way will service a lot of REALLY FUN games.
