Title: Not so good traders (sticky) (poll)
Post by: tommy on May 07, 2005, 12:32:49 pm
I hope no one is on this list.

You have posted 1000 posts since February of this year (the day you registered). That's about 250 posts per month.

If you ever wondered if any of your posts have been needless spammy garbage, look no further than this thread.

Might I suggest NOT posting anything that pops in to your head... and then modifying the thread to include a poll.

Thank you.

Did some piss in your cheerios this morning, why exactly does my post count have anything to do with this, i have a person that i might consider putting as a BAD trader and instead of just doing it i wanted to see what BYOAC thought about it.

Gonna have to agree.. the threads a good idea, and you are blindly trolling him just for the sake of doing so..

Black-listing people will probably cause issues.

We've already got a good traders list. How about we just assume that if they aren't on that list then we should be careful?

I can totally see such a thread snowballing into one big argument. It won't work.

Plus, look at the size of the good traders sticky. It's pretty darn big. I don't really feel like going through it to find a name. The bad traders list promises to be 2 or 3 times the size because people will step in to defend themselves and bloat the thread. It wouldn't work.

Besides, there's no policing system. Someone might receive their package a day late and then freak out, even though the other person has had 10 or 15 successful transactions prior.

This site works because it's about helping people - not singling them out.

How many reasons do you need why this would be a bad idea?

That was the idea behind this thread, i was about to just name names and thought better of it, its too bad we have to deal with people like this APFelon and his snide remarks, i could think of some nice words to tell this guy but lucky for me i care enough about this forum to not say anymore about it.

Lucky me. Tommy discovered restraint today and I am spared his wrath. That's one can of kickass that I'm glad didn't get opened. Whew.

Honestly, if you spared one synapse to think through this lame idea, you'd realize that libeling/slandering someone on this forum is NOT HELPFUL (despite its recent fashionability) and you could damage someone's legitimate business enterprise over a simple issue of miscommunication and a quick temper.

Bad trades between members should be kept to PMs and that kind of dirty laundry should not be aired in public.

It does nothing to help anyone. Period. If you are so worried about it to the point of creating a hit list, don't do business over the Internet.

What a tool, there is no hit list, its called informing other members to avoid certain people on the internet, like you for one, you know, people with nothing better to do then check members posts for god knows what reason.

People like you who cry in the Board disscussion that people are insulting you and you go do the same here.

pfft get a job.  ;)

Other than the fact that this is totally redundant (we have a good trader list).  A bad trader list only ends up being destructive.  Instead of maturely acting like adults and working out problems through email and pms, it'll end up turning into a slander thread.  This is not a new idea, if you look at other boards you'll see the same problem.  I'm in full agreement with Alan and APFelon on this one.
