Title: Clean a dusty monitor and chassis.
Post by: GGKoul on May 06, 2005, 10:28:07 am
I just purchased a Virtua Racing cab.  And the back of the monitor, the board and the tube is covered in dust.  Whats the best way to clean up the dust?  I already used a air-spray can to clean up some of the dust.  But I want to know the best way to clean the dust on the tube.

Thanks!

I've been using a paintbrush.

Works pretty well.

(Or you could hose it down. there are threads on that also.)

I recently hosed down a monitor, took some dawn and hot water and a soft paintbrush to kindof "scrub" the monitor boards and the back of the tube.  I have also blown them off with compressed air before, which works okay but obviously isn't as "thorough" as washing.

Send me some pics of your VR Twin! :)  Also, have you verified the other half works 100% yet (sans the monitor)?
