Title: Did I Ruin My Speakers?

I bought an amplified computer speaker set (with subwoofer) for use in my arcade cabinet, and to mount the speakers, I took them out of their cases.  By taking them out of their cases, did I turn shielded speakers into unshielded speakers?  I've tossed the cases, so I'm not sure what I can do to fix them if I need to.

For clarification, I only disassembled the two speakers, not the subwoofer.

No, the shielding is on the speaker itself.  You will notice a metal covering over the speakers magnet.  This is the shield.
