Title: OOPS - H.V. wire not conneced when plugged in
Post by: mammoth on May 02, 2005, 08:40:50 am
i  finally decided to start installing some get well kits in some of my old games to sell off - i always stayed away from monitor repair n the past (maybe this is why) - did my first GO7 came out great - did the second (was working before i messed with it) and here's what happened - after reinstalling the chassis (its in a cocktail) the H.V. wire was not connected all the way and fell off as i closed the table - after seeing no picture i opened the cab and saw the wonderfull sight of the H.V. wire arcing directly to the yoke of the picture tube. shut off  now no power up, fuses are still good did i just fry the flyback or should this one go in the trash - forgot to confirm this also was a GO7 chassis. thanks for any input.

Arcing to the yoke? That doesn't sound good to me. You might have screwed up the yoke.
